MCCLOY AND MUCHEMWA ARCHITECTS
Here is a beautiful and characterful little project by the very talented @mccloymuchemwa
Featuring black corrugated metal cladding that contrasts with the plants and flowers in the garden, the interior features striking orange coloured structural and auxiliary elements, including a beam that spans 7m.
The design consists of a reimagined shed and matching pergola, along with the orangery area for growing vegetables, which features translucent polycarbonate cladding panels. The roofs collect rainwater that can be used to water the vegetables and other parts of the garden.
Unsurprisingly shortlisted for the Architects Journal Small Projects Awards, the design has been published widely including features in Dezeen, Arch Daily etc. etc.
Some dramatic lighting made for a very satisfying shoot.
