Galmstrup Architects
Architectural photography of the “Hello Brain” Exhibition and the Francis Crick Institute, by London-based Galmstrup Architects:
The Hello Brain exhibition at London’s Francis Crick Institute is a vibrant intersection of architecture, science and storytelling. Designed by Galmstrup Architects as an immersive environment for young audiences, the installation transforms a challenging gallery space into a tactile landscape of knitted neurons, floating connections and curiosity-driven displays that interpret real scientific research.
My photographs explore this dialogue between design and discovery, capturing how scenography, light and structure guide visitors through a sensory journey into neuroscience. Set within the Crick’s vast research complex — itself conceived to encourage collaboration through open laboratories, atria and transparent spatial relationships — the exhibition sits within a building shaped by the same spirit of connection and exchange.
Through these images, I aim to reveal not just the forms of the installation, but the atmosphere it creates: a place where architecture becomes an instrument for curiosity, learning and imagination.
