BIRMINGHAM UNIV. STEAM BRIDGE, BIRMINGHAM UNIVERSITY, BIRMINGHAM, 2011, MJP ARCHITECTS
This new bridge represents part of the University of Birmingham's continuing project to refurbish and extend their combined heating and power network. A striking statement in the landscape, the bridge features laser-cut stainless steel cladding, and carries pipework and services over the busy canal, providing safe maintenance from within. Architectural photography completed in one day. (All images copyright Simon Kennedy, London Architectural Photographer)
