Balham Public Realm, Balham, London, 2019, Metropolitan Workshop Architects
The architects won a competition and developed an entire urban strategy for economic and environmental regeneration in Balham’s town centre, made up of four projects: the enhancement via public art of the environment underneath and around the railway bridge, enhancements to Hildreth St to make it a more attractive and vibrant street, improvements to Balham Community Space, and an art solution to deal with the famous “Ugly Wall”.

Architectural photography completed over 1.5 days. (All images copyright Simon Kennedy, London Architectural Photographer)
