Won in competition, HAL Architects have designed this marketing pavilion as part of the Royal Wharf development, near the Thames Barrier. The building is elevated and therefore maximises views along the Thames, to the new landscaped park. The design features filigree timber cladding, extensive glazing, frosted glass to reduce views where appropriate to the interior function, and a second floor terrace with fantastic views. The building sits harmoniously within its landscaped context.

Haptic architects have installed a creative recladding of an unremarkable car park at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, which they won through competition. The design includes graphic design contributions from Bob Design, and engineering from Eckersley O’Callaghan.
The design features sculptural powder coated aluminium panels which are strongly triangular in geometry, and whose module changes subtly along the side of the car park. The changes are achieved through highly efficient detailing. The powder coating has subtly different shades to enhance the sculptural effect. “Super graphics” are employed to indicate the zones of and entrances to the car park.
